Where does my cash contribution go?
Gemma is a non profit organization funded through grants from agencies and foundation as well as individual donations. We count on support from the community to keep our program running. You can specify your donation for a particular program area, or for general support. Our dedicated staff appreciates community support in keeping the office and equipment running, and building a fund capacity to provide more services to women in need.
Other specific contributions you make will go towards:
- Healthy food
- Bus passes for job searches
- Medical expenses and medication
- Undergarments
- School supplies
- Hygiene products
- Educational materials and textbooks
- Vocational school fees
- Professional clothing for interviews
